Career Highlights

 

 

​​COLLEGE

UNC Charlotte 49ers (2008–2011): Standout four-year starting catcher. She was a two-time First Team All-Mid Atlantic Region selection and still holds Charlotte's career record for putouts (1,342) and the single-season record for slugging percentage (.712). 

​

INTERNATIONAL

Played professionally in Europe for Italian club DES Caserta, leading the team to a championship and earning the Italian Professional Softball League Championship MVP award.

​

COACHING

Following her playing career, Tenaya spent several years in the NCAA Division I coaching ranks, including  as an assistant coach for two seasons at the University of Delware before moving to Oakland University in 2017 as an assistant coach, specializing in player development and hitting instruction. 

​

Tenaya has coached local travel ball for several years. She is currently Head Coach of the Lady Magic Tucker/Ortiz 18u team.
